Over the past 10 years I’ve curated and produced exhibitions of artists work related to mobility and movement. These exhibitions are part of my advocacy for the importance of practice led research by artists and the interdisciplinary contribution it makes to the social sciences. I run the art and mobilities mailing list with Dr. Kaya Barry, and we published an open access journal article setting an agenda for creative practice within the new mobilities paradigm.
I am an associate director of the Centre for Mobilities Research, at Lancaster University where an analytic focus on how people, things and information move produces interdisciplinary perspectives on globally important issues such as mobility justice and climate emergency.
