I am an artist and researcher. I work with ecologies and focus on the connected mobilities of people, places, technologies, animals, plants and micro-organisms. I often collaborate with other artists, technologists, and more-than-human participants. These vary from full collaborations to generative encounters, and have evolved throughout my career in an exploration of how authorship is shared and discursive rather than singular. The resulting works combine material and digital experience in live and participatory installations and events that have been exhibited in the UK and internationally for over 30 years.
I’m currently interested in the living and technical systems that build relationships between people and places. This includes a practice of growing things, from grass and meadows, to machine learning models, and mineral crystals.
I am part of the Rocky Climates Network, with Rebecca Birch and Sarah Casey.
